Seeing as there is like three places to lvl up, and people is almost hitting lvl 10, may be good to put a sistem that cut a big portion of the xp gain after some time grinding.

Disagree. Actually, there is such a system, but wouldn't it be easier and more fair just to put more places to level?
I guess we just need to wait.

how that would help? i commented on the few places to level, to remark how hard people is grinding. You put better places and no restriction, and you will be hitting 15 the next week.

One advantage of some grinding during Alpha is it will help find bugs and balance problems before too many players are impacted.  We all should accept that our alpha characters might need to be nerfed if it turns out that mana or path powers get overpowered at higher levels, or that some rules changes have unforeseen consequences.

well if you think this period like completedly separated from the beta, is all right. But it would be kinda sad for a rp server if this stay as is it now.

Grigs are the mmo equal of rats, they should be cutting off at about level 5.

Cutting off the general xp is not a great solution for grinding, it makes it worst usually, people who already do would be grinding more to compensate. And the ones that doesn´t never lvl up, So is more of a draw back for people that don´t grind all day.

We have hundreds of dungeons and hunting areas planned. We do want you to be moving on from each area and explore the world, not sitting in the same farming zone until you're maximum level.

EE's said it all on this matter. The speed of levelling is not a problem. Actually, I think the speed has been nailed- any slower and it becomes a horrendously grindy place.

The only current issue here, is that there's a lack of places. When more places are added, then XP from grigs can be cut back. And then, when people are actually having to kill things of equal difficulty to their level, I think we'll see things even out a bit more.

A somewhat related issue is that at the moment, gear is extremely limited. Even some of the very basic items are missing, not to mention magic items such as potions, scrolls (wizards...), or "masterwork"/+1/+2 weapons and armor that can be expected in a low magic setting. These items are naturally part of D&D's system (even more powerful ones in vanilla D&D), and without them it is an open question how well mid-high level characters can handle mid-high level dungeons and mid-high level enemies, and if they are balanced in power for the current conditions, later characters will better gear will find it too easy. So not only will new dungeons have to be added, but the matching, more extensive (and expensive) gear options as well. Right now, the module is just something for people to get started, get involved in RP and hopefully find the major bugs. Limiting XP gain isn't exactly the best idea at this point, since bugs are noticed by using those characters' abilities, which they will usually do in engine combat, not while sitting around a campfire and chatting.

You're already level 8. That's more than half way to Legendary level, and you're still killing Grigs. In later versions, you should be smiting evil paladins with +1 or +2 weapons by now and be wearing shiny fullplate. We were expecting people to be, at maximum, level 5 for the alpha. I've had to crank down the XP for certain parameters, because there are going to be a lot more dungeons, and a lot more options for gear. It's early, EARLY alpha. There is literally no grounds for levelling.
